The number of factions available in the beta has not been specified, but it would probably feature all four factions. The game will have five maps available in the Closed Beta. Outside of the announced insider playtest (which invites went out for starting March 15), Ubisoft hasn’t revealed a timeline for XDefiant ’s release. Keep in mind that this Closed Beta is only for the US and Canada on PC. Since Ubisoft has not revealed an end date for the beta, they might extend it and add more players if enough players register for the session. So, register for PC if you want to be considered for the first beta as well. The release of the game for last-gen consoles has been quietly delayed. The last possible date this could be is September 23, 2023, but we expect the game to release in late August. It has every opportunity to steal the shooter limelight from Call of Duty, and Ubisoft the game’s developer has ticked all the right boxes during the production of the game. But, remember that the upcoming beta is only for PC. Ubisoft has confirmed that the XDefiant release date will arrive in Summer 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series XS, and PC.
